The saga of Jalen Hurts' health took a darker, deeper turn on Monday.
In a statement made by the Eagles QB and his agent, Nicole Lynn, which is published below, Hurts was diagnosed with a much more severe form of blood clot which will keep him away from all football activities for quite some time.
Although the statement does not specify a time frame, discovery of injuries of this type including pulmonary emboli, typically are season ending -- as close monitoring is required to guard against future clots and the long course of blood thinning medication makes it near impossible to participate in vigorous exercise required to be NFL-level fit.
