The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Friday the signing of defenseman Christian Marti to an entry-level contract.
A 22-year-old native of Switzerland, he's played
three of the last four seasons in the Swiss National League.
For the past two years, he has skated for Genève-Servette HC and recorded
five goals and 15 assists for 20 points in 82 games, along with a
plus-14 rating.
Marti spent the 2012-13 season with Blainville-Boisbriand in the Quebec
Major Junior Hockey League, where he recorded 14 points (5G, 9A) in 46
games and registered a plus-25 rating. He spent that season playing
with center Danick Martel, who signed an entry-level contract with the
Flyers on March 10.
