Phantoms, AHL unveil 2014-15 schedule

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms will commence their inaugural season in Allentown on October 11 on the road against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Six days later, the nascent franchise opens up at home against the club which took over their former residence, the Adirondack Flames.

The following are a series of tweets from Phantoms broadcaster Bob Rotruck - entering his fifth season calling the action home and road for the club -- describing the ins and outs of the 76-game slate:

Phantoms will have over half of their games within East Division. 42 out of 76. Hershey 12x, Wilkes-Barre 12x, Binghamton 10x, Norfolk 8x.

Phantoms Longest homestand: 5 games, 11/15 to 11/26. Longest away stretch: 5 games, 2x, 12/31 to 1/11 and also 3/1 to 3/21.

LV Phantoms will play 7 3-in-3's this year (3 games in 3 days). 11 3-in-4's (Wed, Fri, Sat). Last year, ADK Phantoms had 8 3-in-3's.

38 home games total: 27 are on weekends (over 70%). 14 Saturdays, 10 Fridays, 3 Sundays. Also 9 Wednesday home dates.
