Philadelphia Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren announced on Tuesday afternoon that forward Jaromir Jagr will be sidelined 7-to-10 days with a mild left groin strain.
Jagr apparently suffered the injury while splitting two Rangers defenders late in the first period of Monday's Winter Classic at Citizens Bank Park. He was later seen on the bench, but was held out of the game, before taking an unsteady walk back to the locker room and did not return to New York's 3-2 victory.
It was initially reported that Jagr aggravated a calf strain he sustained on December 29, in a 4-2 win at Pittsburgh.
Jagr, 39 years of age, has enjoyed a Renaissance this year, totaling 12 goals and 19 assists this season.
