Mike Lieberthal may be a LA Dodger by Friday, joining southpaw Randy Wolf, who inked a one-year contract worth $7.5 million with an option that increases the deal to $8 million guaranteed money (because of an automatic $500,000 buyout if the option isn't exercised).
Lieberthal, like Wolf, has Southern California roots. The only thing that could possibly throw a wrench into this plan is if the Phillies offer the long-time catcher arbitration, but the chances of that have slipped from slim to none.
