Tickets go on sale July 22 and start as low as $15.

Lashley signs with Strikeforce
Former World Wrestling Entertainment star and undefeated mixed martial arts fighter Bobby
Lashley has signed a multi-year agreement with STRIKEFORCE and will make his debut for the world championship MMA promotion at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., on Saturday, January 30.
The 6-foot-3 inch, 250-pound Lashley, also a former collegiate wrestling star for Missouri Valley College and member of The United States Army, will face an opponent that has not yet been determined during the live SHOWTIME telecast of STRIKEFORCE: Miami, the historic, first-ever STRIKEFORCE event in the state of Florida.
In his last MMA start on June 27, 2009, the 33-year-old pulverized and scored a first round (3:17) TKO over 6-foot-5 inch, 350-plus-pound goliath Bob “The Beast” Sapp with a barrage of punches in Biloxi, Miss. The win upped Lashley’s MMA record to 4-0.
“I’m looking forward to fighting for STRIKEFORCE and challenging myself by taking on some of the top heavyweights in MMA,” said Lashley, a native of Junction City, Kan., and resident of Denver, Colo.
After competing in several matches in both the WWE Raw and SmackDown! shows in 2005 and 2006, Lashley captured the WWE United States Championship by defeating rival “JBL.” During this stint with the league and another in 2007, Lashley wrestled several top superstars, including The Big Show and John Cena.
Lashley made his MMA debut on Dec. 13, 2008, earning a 41-second TKO over Joshua Franklin after Franklin sustained a cut and could not continue.
Earlier this year, Lashley joined Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling. In his first appearance with the league on July 30, he helped tag team partner Mick Foley defeat superstars Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash.

Hogan joins TNA

“Hulkamania” is back! The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, is joining Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA), the fastest rising wrestling organization in the world and home to one of cable television’s highest rated shows for young men, TNA iMPACT! The announcement was made today by TNA Wrestling in conjunction with Spike TV at a press conference held in New York City.
“Hulk Hogan is one of the world’s top pop culture icons and the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling. We are truly excited to welcome him into the TNA family,” said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. “Our goal is to become the world’s biggest professional wrestling company. Hulk defines professional wrestling and we look forward to partnering with him in a variety of ways as we continue to grow TNA globally.”
“I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the world of professional wrestling,” said Hogan. “My fans have been asking me to return to the business for many years on a full time basis, but the timing or the opportunity has never been right until now. TNA Wrestling is a great company with an already excellent fan base, business and broadcast partner. I firmly believe now is the time for some change at TNA as they are positioned to jump to the next level in their development and I’m here to work with Dixie to help make that a reality.”
Through Hogan’s partnership with Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television, the deal with TNA was negotiated by longtime Hogan colleague Eric Bischoff. Additionally, BHE TV has inked a first-look deal with TNA and will be working with the organization to develop new programming extensions of the TNA brand.

Kurt Angle arrested
TNA wrestling champ Kurt Angle was arrested early this morning on a number of charges, including driving while operating privilege is suspended, prohibited acts-possession, harrassment and prohibited acts.
WPXI says the former Olympic wrestling champ was allegedly stalking a former girlfriend who had filed a protection order against him and was driving with a suspended license.
Wgen Angles' car was serached, police found two bottles of HGH, which Angle claimed he had a prescription for.

Titans obtain restraining order to prevent Pacman Jones from wrestling

The Tennessee Titans obtained a restraining order Friday to prevent Adam "Pacman" Jones from participating in Sunday's Total Nonstop Action PPV event in Orlando, Fla.
"Today we filed a motion in Williamson County asking for a court order preventing Jones from participating in any wrestling activity," the team said in a statement. "All NFL players have language in their contracts that prohibit them from engaging in activities which may involve a significant risk of personal injury. We certainly believe wrestling to be hazardous and it is obvious from the player's conduct that he is ignoring this aspect of his agreements with the club. As an organization, we feel it is our obligation to protect our rights in this instance."
The Titans acted quickly because they believed Jones would be wrestling on Sunday but he was only scheduled for an “angle” that would have led to a match in the coming months.
Jones was suspended for the entire 2007 season on April 10 by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for numerous run-ins with the law in just two NFL seasons,including some type of alleged involvement in a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club during the NBA's All-Star weekend in February. That incident left an employee of the club, ironically a former pro wrestler, paralyzed from the waist down.
Since entering the NFL, Jones has been questioned by police on over 10 occasions and been arrested five times.
The TNA wrestling promotion is based in Nashville and is owned by Panda Energy but is a distant second in a realm ruled by World Wrestling Entertainment. The company is run by Dixie Carter and longtime pro wrestler Jeff Jarrett.
The signing of Jones is an effort to garner publicity for a fringe company in an industry already stained by implications of steroid and other drug use after the highly-publicized Chris Benoit murder-suicide case.
Jones joins an impressive list of NFL players who have made the jump from the football field to the wrestling ring, including Bronko Nagurski, Leo Nomellini, Bill Goldberg, Steve McMichael, Wahoo McDaniel, Ernie ‘The Big Cat’ Ladd and former Eagles great Reggie White.
