PHILADELPHIA - The Eagles have signed safety Malcolm Jenkins on Tuesday.
Jenkins was the 14th overall pick of the 2009 draft by New Orleans, and over five seasons with the club he totaled 358 tackles, six interceptions, and six forced fumbles.
Last year, he played in 14 games and had 68 tackles, six passes defensed, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
Also on Tuesday, Philadelphia re-signed punter Donnie Jones and released safety Patrick Chung.
In his first season with the Eagles, Jones, 33, set franchise records with a 40.5 net punting average and 33 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
He was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for back-to-back games.
Chung, 26, appeared in 12 games in his only season with the Eagles after four in New England. He started 10 games and had 59 tackles.
