Doss back on Eagles radar?

Safety Mike Doss will be in Minneapolis on Tuesday to visit with the Vikings but the Eagles are still in the hunt to to acquire his services.

Doss already visited the Birds this offseason and rumors circulated he was close to a deal but nothing was ever signed. He has since hired a new agent -- Drew Rosenhaus -- and is now scheduled to meet the Eagles again later this week.

Although the Minnesota offense is a disaster area under former Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress, the defense is solid. The Vikings already have Darren Sharper, Dwight Smith, Tank Williams and Greg Blue under contract at safety so Minneapolis doesn't seem like a good fit for Doss, leaving the door open for the Birds.

Doss has tallied seven interceptions in four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts but missed the final nine games of last season because of a torn ACL.
